This week in writing we have been learning to write interesting paragraphs. Here is my paragraph about my favourite camp activity. I need to keep working on writing paragraphs so that I put more detail in my writing.

My favourite camp activity was the seal colony walk at Cape Foulwind. The walk didn’t take very long which was good. I liked seeing the baby seals swimming in the rock pools. They were cute and fluffy. I learnt that they were fur seals and the Maori name for them is kekeno.

Numeracy reflection T1W7

For numeracy this week we had to do the Face Place and Total value of four digit numbers. Here is my DLO. This activity was easy because I can read 4 digit numbers easily. Now I need to learn to do this with harder numbers.

Literacy reflection T1W7

For literacy this week we did a spine poem with 4 to 6 books.  We chose books and made a poem by reading the spines.  Here is my poem.  I enjoyed this activity because it was writing without having to write.

This is my free writing for this week.  I chose to write an imaginary because I like creative writing. Next week I'm going to work on including full stops and capital letters to make it easier to read.

Numeracy reflection T1W5

This is my numeracy for this week.  We were learning about place value.  It was lots of fun. The hardest part of this activity was having to fit the money in the box.

Term 1 week 4 electronics

On Wednesday we had electronics📱at school and a man came in and he showed us what not to do and what to do with electronics he told us what positive and negative is. We got into groups, in my group is in Maddy, Rhys, Charlotte and myself.
