This week on Monday we went to a program about road safety. The lessons were inside the trailer of a huge truck. We sat in the cab and beeped the horn. Inside we watched a TV clip. In the clip we learnt what to do keep safe around trucks when we are on or near the road.
The important points were:
Wait for big trucks to come to a complete stop before going across a crossing.
Trucks have blind spots so try not go down where they can't see you.
Trucks need lots of space to turn so wait for them to turn before you do.
Hi Cruz, well done for recalling the important points for pedestrians. I found it interesting learning about the blind spots for truck drivers and will definitely try and keep away from that area when sharing the road with big trucks. Next time it would be great if you told us your favourite part of the activity and why.
