This week in maths we have been doing tessellation. I  did a DLO and I did a tessellation art also.  Here is my work.

Transform DLO

This week in numeracy we were learning about transformation.  The transformations we learnt about were rotation, translation and reflection.  I have created this puzzle for you to solve.  Can you describe how I have transformed the orange triangle into the blue triangle?  Comment below and I will tell you if you are correct. 

Pest Invasion

This week in reading we have been deciding if deer are pests or resources. I think deer are resources not pests because if you hunt deer you can get meat from them and hunting is fun. I would like to know what you think so please fill out my survey below.

Wishtree Novel Study

This term we were reading a novel the wish tree and it was about racism and being kind to people from different cultures.  This is my new book cover for this book.  I think you should read this book. 

Legend of Poutini

This map shows the journey of Poutini around New Zealand.  Poutini was a taniwha.  He stole a lady called Waitaiki from the North Island and fled down around New Zealand with her.  When he got to the Arahura River on the West Coast he was afraid that Tamaahua would catch up with him and get Waitaiki back so he turned Waitaiki into pounamu and laid her in the river. That is why Waitaiki is known as the mother of pounamu.
