This week in the news there was a story about dolphins stranding themselves on an island.
Thirteen common dolphins were found dead near the entrance to the Marlborough Sounds last week. Two more stranded after that, one of which was successfully re-floated by local landowners. They are not sure why the dolphins beached themselves as they didn't seem to be sick.
This is really sad for the dolphins.

Visual Art
This week we have been creating paintings. First we designed our own avatar on our computers. Then we printed them out with a grid over the top. We ruled up our paper with a larger grid and then used the grid to enlarge our avatar. Finally we painted our avatars. Here is mine:
I like my art because I like the avatar I designed and I think I enlarged it well. I think I could of painted it a little neater.

What's Been in the News this Week?
Why has Auckland’s transport authority been
removing Lime scooters from the city?
I think it a good idea to ban the lime scooters forever because they are dangerous.
I wonder what they will decide?
What do you think about lime scooters?
In Auckland some scooters seem to have a fault in the brakes. Several people have been hurt because of a
serious fault where the front brake locks up without
warning. The council placed a temporary ban on the e-scooters last week.
A decision whether Lime scooters will be allowed back on the streets of Auckland is going to be made today.I think it a good idea to ban the lime scooters forever because they are dangerous.

What's Been In The News This Week...
New Zealand police are spending $20.7 million on body armour. It is more comfortable and lighter.
Facts: The armour would stop most rifle rounds
Each set cost $1300 and they will be issued over the next three years.
I think it's a good idea but 20.7 million is a lot of money.
